Rape crisis centres across the UK have rushed to the aid of talented supermodel Naomi Campbell after her magnificent libel victory against The Daily Mirror
.
She said that the paper's invasion of her privacy "felt like rape" — an analogy supported by women's groups. "When you're a really special
person, then people saying nasty things about you is like rape: worse even. And Naomi has been gang-banged by the whole UK media."
Speaking from earthquake-torn Afghanistan, where she continues her tireless charity work, Ms Campbell told The Rockall Times: "I have been violated, but the judge's decision goes some way towards healing the wounds." Campbell added that she would be donating the £3,500 awarded by the court to the Celebrity Perjurers Defence Fund.
