Beckham injury sparks dangerous fashion craze

Doctors report surge in broken bones

by Thomas Allchorne

Manchester United and England footballer David Beckham has ignited another fashion craze thanks to his appalling injury at the hands of a filthy Argie.

But while previous crazes ended up in terrible afflictions at the hands of hairdressers, his latest fashion statement threatens permanent physical damage to the nation's gullible youth.

Posh Spice’s husband has damaged some bone in his foot and is forced to cover the problem area in a hard white substance know as plaster. Kids everywhere are going crazy over the new footwear.

Some doctors fear that children up and down the country of England will try to break bones in an effort to be more like their hero. A doctor, standing next to a small child with its head stuck in a saucepan and sporting a t-shirt with the caption "I’m with stupid", explained: "Kids are essentially idiots."

But this cuts little ice with the UK's street-savvy kids. "It looks really cool," said one excited youngster before picking his nose and flicking it at a nearby old lady. "He’s a poof," said another whilst flapping his hand about to simulate a homosexual. "I got well badly fouled yesterday at school and I was alright by Maths."

David Beckham is himself reported to be devastated. "I’m devastated. No, really," said the sporting superstar.
