The Wonderful World of Bono — Canada
Dark heart of globalisation
by Bono
This must be without doubt the darkest heart of globalisation. Sickeningly, each and every year, hundreds of native Inuit people are mercilessly culled by baseball-bat wielding Canucks who sell their skins to the Italian haute couture market.
I'm in complete agreement with Sting on this one — this murderous trade must stop, and it must stop now. Is it right that the wheels of international capitalism are oiled by the blood of innocents? No, and if I see Naomi Campbell wearing another Inuit-skin coat in the Autumn fashion shows, I'm going to get on a plane straight to London and give her a piece of my mind, that's for sure.
