The original US assertion that the Taji site houses "chemical munitions" is nothing more than a smokescreen covering a far more terrifying truth.

Taji is Iraq's leading facility for the production of Saddam doubles, more than 10,000 of which now travel the length and breadth of Iraq, waving rifles in the air and opening fetes and supermarkets. Saddam lookalikes now roll off the production lines at the rate of fifty a day.

Every minute that US bombers hold back from unleashing an aerial rain of death and destruction on the people of Iraq means another Saddam who must be tracked by US intelligence services at huge cost to the American taxpayer.

Perhaps even more disturbing has been the discovery that Iraq has been stockpiling Al Gore voters at Taji, possibly for a future assault upon the US presidency. The consequences of a successful operation of this sort are incalculable, but certainly include a policy of not necessarily bombing any country which disagrees — however mildly — with US foreign policy, leading ultimately to the complete collapse of Western civilization.
