Rockall Times set for triumphant return

Enter heroic propellorheads in shining armour

by De Management

Well, it's a week of good news all round as we can confirm that The Rockall Times will shortly be back on your screens.

Yup, thanks to the heroic — and entirely voluntary — efforts of the boffins at www.xdevelopment.co.uk, we should shortly have a CMS which will enable us to relaunch the site.

Obviously, our thanks go out to them, as they do to the other code jockeys who wrote offering support and advice.

Big up rispek is also due to all those readers who expressed their dismay at our temporary demise, especially those who offered to pay a subscription for the UK's leading web satire publication.

However, after mulling it over, we've decided not to follow that model, and are rather committing ourselves to financing the site through merchandising. And this is where you come in.

It's pretty obvious that if, for instance, each and every reader bought one of our lovely shirts every year, we've have plenty of bunce to continue and improve our product. So that's what we're asking you to do. You support us and we deliver, simple as that. Otherwise, the sad truth is that we will not be able to continue to meet our costs. Which would be a shame.

So, look out for the revitalised Rockall Times in the next few weeks. Enjoy, and remember: the future of this publication rests very much in your hands. Back soon...

Additional info

As soon as we've got the site fully functioning again, we're intending to launch a couple of new shirts. Credit cards at the ready. Oh yeah, and we'll put up the full story of our epic attempt to conquer Rockall, complete with pics and first-hand accounts by the hysterical, shell-shocked survivors. Marvellous.
