TfL in bendy bus climb-down

'Slight change' to ad for transport revolution

by Thomas the Tank Engine

An advertisement placed by Transport for London extolling the virtues of its new bendy fire traps has had to be changed after watchdogs upheld a complaint by a member of the public who had actually been on one of the things.

The ad in question originally read:

Want to get somewhere quicker then jump on a bendy bus

It now declares:

Want to swelter uncomfortably as part of a jerky ride with hundreds of other sweaty individuals on hard seats then jump on a bendy bus

However, the Head of London Buses, Mr Blakey, told The Rockall Times: "This is only a slight change in my opinion and will in no way dissuade us from our ongoing policy of persuading people to board bendy buses by getting rid of all the Routemasters that Ken used to be so keen on."
