Last chance to cough for Rockall Ho! 2005

This Friday sees the last day for online donations for our Rockall Ho! 2005 charity appeal in aid of the MEdia initiative of Mental Health Media.

As regular readers will know, on 16 June the Rockall Ho! assault team successfully landed on the sacred islet of Rockall and declared it an independent peoples' republic, thereby ending years of bikering between Britain, Denmark, Iceland and Ireland as to the island's status.

The mission was entirely funded by The Rockall Times and from the pockets of the team members. All of the cash we have raised to date (online and offline) for the charity has gone straight to the charity.

And while we thank all of those who have already made a donation, we cannot help but feel that the rest of you have been a little backward in coming forward with the charitable spirit.

That's to say: you're all tight-arsed bas*tards and if we don't see some more cash in the kitty by the end of the week, well, we were going to publish the full Rockall Ho! gallery on 8 August, complete with full-colour coverage and pithy commentary. We shall see..."
