To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the British occupation of Rockall in 1955, and in the spirit of the ensuing North Atlantic Pax Britannica which is today enjoyed equally by the fun-loving citizens of Iraq, we at The Rockall Times are this week giving you, our beloved readers, the chance to win one of our top-notch t-shirts.
All you have to do is think of a suitably sensational caption for this photo, which shows two Iraqi detainees demonstrating why British military hospitality is the best in the world:
It's as simple as that. The top five, as judged by our specially-convened court martial in Osnabrueck, Germany, will secure the t-shirt of their choice.
There's no limit on entries, and you can send your efforts to us right here, marking the subject of the email "Caption competition". The deadline for entries midnight, UK time, on Saturday 1 October (no Rockall Times next week due to anniversary celebrations), and we'll be announcing the results the following Monday. Carry on.
