Premiership star slams spiralling prices

'I feel your pain'

by Juan Sebastian Gaucho

One of the Premier League's top stars has added his voice to the growing chorus of complaints from supporters about the ever-higher amounts needed for Premiership games telling them: "I hear what you're saying and I feel your pain."

Joe Cole: PainOver the past season or so, Chelsea's Joe Cole might seem to have been one the main beneficiaries of the large sums of money around the game but that has not stopped him speaking out against something that he now feels is morally wrong.

"Prices now are outrageously high at Stamford Bridge," he told The Rockall Times in an exclusive interview he might have had with us if we hadn't saved time by making it up. "What with the millions being paid for Shaun Wright-Philips and Michael Essien this summer I can't even get on the subs' bench these days. When I was a nipper growing up at West Ham I could get to a game every week. Now due to rising prices I rarely get to appear."

And Cole went on to speak of his fears for the game he loves. "If things go on like this ordinary English players like me won't ever be able to attend games. Not even coming on as a late replacement in Carling Cup games against Crewe. It breaks my heart," he sobbed.
