Bush and God: Bosom buddiesSupreme Being and Supreme Commander chew the fat by Regina Marracco London, England — In a stunning excerpt from an as yet unaired BBC documentary entitled Elusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs, Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Nabil Shaath insists that US President, George W. Bush, while attending a secret meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, and Palestinian officials, boasted that "God told him to invade Iraq".
Mr.Bush did not clarify if God gave him any instructions on whether he should fight and invade by himself, or send thousands of British and American soldiers to do it for him. He also declined to speculate on why The Lord failed to give him a heads-up on Katrina. Mr Bush went on to say at the meeting: "Now God has told me: 'Go get the Palestinians their own state and create peace in the Middle East,' and by golly, I'm gonna do it." In a blistering rebuttal, a White House spokesman, who declined to give his name, called the remarks "complete horseshit". "The president does speak to God quite often," he said. "He asks for His help in making tough decisions, like whether to take the point spread when Southern Methodist plays Notre Dame, but God does not, and never has, called the president 'George'."
