Rockall contributor honoured among world's worst writers

Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest triumph

by De Management

It is with great pleasure that we can announce the stunning success of one Rockall contributor in the the 2006 Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest, which celebrates all that is truly dreadful in bad literature. Step up to the podium, then, Wordy Harry, who secured runner-up spot with this splendid effort:

"I know what you're thinking, punk," hissed Wordy Harry to his new editor, "you're thinking, 'Did he use six superfluous adjectives or only five?' — and to tell the truth, I forgot myself in all this excitement; but being as this is English, the most powerful language in the world, whose subtle nuances will blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' — well do you, punk?"

Well done, sir. A foaming tankard of Olde Wifebeater awaits you at Rockall's Fighting Dog and Pikey. Carry on.
